Our tour of the Manu Cultural Zone with hot springs and waterfalls begins and ends in Cusco, for this tour we leave Cusco very early in the morning through the south of the city we enter the Manu from Paucartambo to pilcopata lodge, we will cross the mysterious cloud forest observing a great variety of flora and fauna.
We continue by bus to Atalaya, from here by boat we continue to the best lodge called Soga de Oro from there it will be possible to reach by boat the only hot springs in the Manu Park which is medicinal for many problems.
The Manu Cultural Zone is one of the three zones in the Manu National Park that has high mountains, cloud forests and low jungles. In this zone, there are small villages with native farmers. This area is protected by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Manu park authorities to act as a buffer zone for the reserved and intangible zones.
We take you to the cloud forest of the eastern slopes of the Andes (Manu trail) and the upper lowland forest (around 500 – 600 m altitude). Ideal for bird and monkey watching (cock of the rock, oropendolas, parrots). Also suitable for families with younger children.

Manu National Park 4 Days 3 Nights is an extensive park in southeastern Peru, which spans the highlands of the Andes, the cloud forests and the jungle of the plains. It is known for its rich biodiversity, especially for its hundreds of species of birds, such as the macaws, which feed on clay deposits. The boats sail through the Manu River and the dense Amazon rainforest, which is home to jaguars, turtles, capibaras, giant otters black caimans and spider monkeys
It’s very important to be well acclimated to the altitude before exerting yourself on a trek. We recommend that you arrive in Cusco at least 2 or 3 days before the trek starts to help you adjust and avoid possible problems with altitude sickness while on the trek.
You might have already been in another area of Peru at a high altitude before arriving in Cusco. In that case, we still recommend you have a whole day in Cusco to rest, recover from your travel, and enjoy the sights and sounds of Cusco before departing for the trek.
We would like to share with you our recommendations for how to have as little an impact upon the natural environment in Manu as possible during your visit.
1. Avoid using plastics that only have a short-term use. If plastic is necessary, like plastic bags to keep your clothes dry in, for example, try to buy bags that can be used again, either by you or the next tourist. If possible, don’t buy any drinks in plastic bottles, opting instead for glass bottles. If buying plastic bottles can’t be avoided, make sure the bottles will be returned to Cusco, handing them back to us for recycling.
2. Recycle camera/flashlight batteries. Cusco does not have a place to recycle batteries; if this is available to you back home, please take your batteries back with you and recycle them there. Where this is not possible, please leave the batteries with your guide or at our office in Cusco. We will store them, hoping in the future there will be the possibility of recycling them locally.
3. Respect our rules for disposal of garbage in bags for biodegradable and non-biodegradable garbage. Thank you!
4. Lower fuel emissions. Oftentimes the bugs and boat used for your transportation will also transport food or materials for the jungle lodges. We ask your understanding since in this way we can reduce the number of trips our bus and boats make, thereby reducing the gas used and the emissions from the motors.
If you have additional ideas you’d like to share, we’d be pleased to hear them and add them to this list!

Verónica Araya Garcia2024-08-18Verificada Personal experience in the Manu< Our journey of 6 days and 5 nights to the reserved area of the Manu, began very early when we were picked up at the respective lodgings. We left in the direction of Paucartambo, going to the upper area of Cusco, where we were making stops to observe and photograph birds. We passed through several ecological floors until we reached the entrance of Manu Park, where we continued to marvel at the diversity of fauna and flora, particularly for me seeing and hearing so many birds had me very happy. Our Lincol Guide is an in-depth knowledge of the biodiversity of that area, attentive to all the details and queries about the various species and activities we would do on the tour. His knowledge of the Amazon is surprising and his willingness always 100 percent with each of us.The journey went from Cusco to the access to the Madre de Dios River in a very comfortable van by Daniel, an expert and careful driver who provided a lot of confidence. The accommodations and lodge we occupied during the crossing, were very comfortable and beautiful, set within gardens surrounded by lush vegetation adorned with many birds. Excellent!Later the trip continued by river, in a boat in charge of 2 locals who knew very well the conditions of the Madre de Dios River and then the Manu River, very comfortable and spacious from where we were able to make sightings of the fauna present in the area, always willing to stop if we asked to observe and photograph some species.Within this tour we also had the opportunity to meet Jaila, who was in charge of preparing delicious dishes with Peruvian seasoning and typical of the Amazon. He showed great efficiency and expertism since on more than one occasion it was his turn to cook on board the boat, successfully handling at all times providing us with his exquisite food.We did day and night walks, always guided by Lincol who gave us his deep knowledge of the place, fauna and flora. It was a wonderful experience, we had no inconvenience throughout the tour, the times and destinations were fully fulfilled as well as we had the opportunity to enjoy some surprises. My congratulations to Lincol, Jaila and Daniel, excellent team always ready to provide the best of each other.100% recommended!! The stunning landscapes, along with the rich diversity of flora and fauna, exceeded our expectations, especially with regard to bird watching, which was our main objective.Lincoln, our Guide, demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the local terrain and fauna. His dedication to making sure we saw as many species as possible and enjoyed every moment to the fullest was admirable. Thanks to him, we were able to appreciate the beauty of the Manu at its best.Jhaila, who handled the meals, deserves special mention. Every meal he prepared was delicious, even when he cooked them with great skill inside the vessel as we sailed along the river. His culinary talent was a real delight throughout the tour.On the other hand, Daniel's driving was impeccable. With a thorough knowledge of the route, he took us safely and carefully, allowing us to enjoy the trip without worry. In addition, his experience in bird watching added value to the tours we take on the cart.In short, this Manu tour is 100% recommended for those looking for an authentic and exciting experience. We live moments that will remain forever in our memory! Candy Herman2024-07-26Verificada 5 days in Manu NP We spent 5 days photographing bird in Manu NP. With Lincol as our guide we came home with our memory cards full of wonderful photos. The Harpy eagle, many species of hummingbirds, colorful tanagers, Golden headed Quetzal, Caracara, monkeys, snakes, and many more. Lincol was very accommodating, making sure that our trip was a wonderful experience. Inkamazonia was one of the places that we visited. It's quite the special place! Also the food provided on our trip was so delicious. George S2024-03-21Verificada Outstanding birding and photography in Manu We recently visited Manu Road on a birding trip (our 4th time in Peru birding) and this was our first visit to Inkamazonia Hummingbird garden. On this trip we saw and incredible 51 species of hummingbirds from Cusco down to Pilcopata and over 350 species in 9 days, and one of the highlights of this trip was visiting the Inkamazonia hummingbird garden. What an incredible place this is, and my only regret is that we couldn't stay there for longer! Lincol and Jhaila maintain a number of feeders for hummingbirds, tanagers and a whole variety of other incredible species and they have a real treasure here that we will definitely visit again! In addition, Lincol is also an excellent birder and guide - we managed to see our bucket list Harpy Eagle in Manu NP with Lincol as our local guide, and it truly was special. If you are a photographer, there are fantastic opportunities to take photos of many species of hummingbirds and hermits, and many other fabulous species at their feeders and on the property, highly recommended if you are planning a trip to Manu! He vivido tantas cosas inolvidables en solo 3 días.
